List of questions
From the time Bev was a teen writing while walking through her small village, Bev knew she wanted to write about other people’s stories. She knew she wanted to major in Journalism and did that as soon as she got out of that small village.
But the field of Journalism has changed quite drastically since she graduated some 40 years ago. Newspapers are struggling or have simply gone out of business.
Now people would rather listen than read. So being one to not live in the past, Bev decided to learn all about the new journalism, for example podcasts.
Previously, she had written many feature articles for some 40 years, for such local papers as the Newton Tab and the DS Press. She even was published in magazines (remember them?) such as Newton-Wellesley and Caregiver.
But alas, Bev thought she should write a book. First, she wrote Thank Now, a sort of memoir to her community.
Then after her parents died, she did write medical books quite successfully (under the pen name of Elizabeth Grey} about diverticulitis and Barrett’s esophagus among others even though she was not a nurse or a doctor.
With the advent of AI, this made Bev establish her current business of having seniors answer questions in their own voice. It is often easier to speak than write a memoir or book of their experience. And often a relative of a loved one wants to hear their voice again and not simply read about it.
So once again, Bev will change. But it will ALWAYS be about other people’s stories no matter what the format.
